  • Rechargeable batteries can be recycled, free to the consumer, thru the Rechargeable Battery Recycling Corp with dropoff locations across the nation. Go to Call2Recycle.org, or call 1-877-2-RECYCLE to find a drop-off site near you.
  • Alkaline batteries can be recycled at monthly recycling organized by Weavers Way Environment Committee at a charge of about $1 per pound [check with Stevik].  This way the resources are used over and over again to make new batteries.  To setup your own collection, see the Battery Recycling website.
